Know You

“To be used by God, you must know who you are and who He is.”
– Rick Warren, Pastor of Saddleback Church, CA

COACHING CAN HELP YOU KNOW GOD AND KNOW YOURSELF BETTER

Most positive difference makers are Christian leaders who are invested in growing more like Christ. The best way to do that shares the same principals as a railroad track.  The two parallel rails are spaced equally apart; one rail represents knowing God, and the other, knowing ourselves. The horizontal ties that keep the tracks aligned and connected is the Holy Spirit.  It’s gravely important for a train to lock into both steel rails in order to move forward, and if ties are missing, it adversely affects the stability and smoothness of the ride.  Unison is what makes it work well.

In my experience most difference makers know more about God than they do themselves.  Our churches, Bible studies and spiritual disciplines are wonderful ways to know Him, along with experiencing His love and grace. Christian coaching is another way to know God better because He enters into the process and usually shows off in the most wonderful, life-giving ways!

It can, however, be much more of a challenge to know yourself.   So, I’ve provided some free resources that can help you learn more about yourself.

“Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.

She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.”
